From Language 2 "Slanguage"

When I first thought of my 1st blog for the site i wanted to keep it cultural. the problem was i didn't know the direction to approach from. recently i watched a drink champs episode that discussed slang from both E-40 and east coast slang pioneer Noreaga. though E-40 is often credited with the title of originator by Noreaga, i wanted to make sure i understood slang from its original standpoint. like many English words "slang" comes from an old term in the 18th century which meant to literally "abuse with words". as a hip hop culture, it was natural to use what was indoctrinated and taught to us and develop this Hip Hop Feel to the english language we knew. As a culture, we will always take the cards we are dealt and create a poker face so serious, they fold.
